Orphanage Without Walls works with children who are:
- Living in absolute poverty (Under UN’s poverty line measured in local PPP)
- Have lost or been abandoned by one or both parents
- Are in danger of having their social condition worsened
- Go to school or are willing to go to school
In special cases, OWW supports children who are not orphans but face other obstacles that make it difficult for them to go to school (e.g. living far away from school or parents who are both sick).
As of January 2013, OWW is supporting 650 orphans and approximately 2470 foster family members.
